I tried his recipe with full far sheep’s milk and heavy whipping cream since I have no such product as single cream or half and half in the middle east. I only have heavy whipping cream (34% fat). Maybe a lower fat cream such as 24% fat would work? Thank you for sharing.
Did it work with sheep’s milk ?….will be nice for others to know …x
@Low carb/keto recipes and having fun Vernaz yes and no I followed a method where I made a basic yogurt and added in the inulin and l. Ruteri tablets to the batch. So the yogurt was not heated past 140 F. I may try it again and keep it raw by keeping it around 104 F. And then I used a sous vide cooker and maintained the 100F temp for 30 hrs. It was good but the HWC separated and the milk part was thinner. I tried to use a stick blender to incorporate it together but it became a liquid and did not reset. The next batch I over boiled the raw milk and got cottage cheese. So I need to try again.
@YB E try one batch with heavy whipping cream x
I have been making Dr. Davis recipe and eating keto for over a year. One of the challenges I have had is the yogurt ‘breaking’. Even then, I shake well and drink two ‘shots’ for wellness. Very beneficial to the gut and the brain.
I didn’t find that it breaks and I’ve made 4-5 batches for trials ….anything I can help you with , let me know x
Good recipe. I always have used my instant pot to make yogurt. Has anyone else done this recipe in an instant pot?
Should work well in the insta pot too x
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice! Thank you. 🎄🎄
Welcome Ron x
Do you think this would work with coconut milk (the canned variety)? I’m dairy intolerant.
I’m experimenting with it ….will let you know ….x
