In partnership with FaveDiets () recipe website, I wished to respond with another breakfast suggestion or frankly a beverage you could have in between meals as a snack or recovery beverage. You will need to be at Ongoing Weight-loss phase though to have this beverage.
Do not hesitate to change up the fruit to your preference. Blueberries which are a little higher carbohydrate are likewise a great addition. A high quality absolutely no carbohydrate whey protein powder would likewise minimize the general carbs also.
I'll be making an upcoming video on yogurt, but this smoothie features a quarter cup of Greek plain yogurt, which is 9g of carbohydrates for one cup. Compare this total up to routine plain yogurt that is in between 16-25g of carbs per cup.

Favorited! Looks very good and healthy! Thanks!
Thanks for taking your time to make such superb videos. Love them all and can’t wait to try the smoothies.
@IAMTHEREALBIGRED I am appreciated the probiotics in the yogurt and encouraging the resurgence of good bacteria in one’s stomach. I am glad you liked it. Thanks for watching!
@colocyclegirl No problem, I am glad to share my recipes and what works for me and my family with others. Thanks for watching!
@SGmom2 Have you tried the About Time one that I reviewed a couple months ago? That is my new favorite. The Optimum Nutrition one I used today is OK at 2g, but not as good. I have to deplete this 5# cannister first before I can totally switch to About Time’s brand instead. If you haven’t tried that brand, I’d suggest you give that one a try.
Hiya Kent – great smoothie! Im very curious about skipping greek yogurt carbs. I like yogurt and a packet of splenda sure wakes up the flavor. If you could explain more detail about greek yogurt and another other foods, truly appreciated! Thanks
@albeeinla You could drop the Greek yogurt and use perhaps softened cream cheese instead, but getting the latter thoroughly mixedd is sometimes a problem. I’ll be talking more about the yogurt in a future video, so stay tuned.
Kent, you are awesome. Thank you for this. I can’t wait to have my baby to start with my weight loss again. I have SOOOO much to catch up on!! Thank you so much for posting these.
@supakb20 My favorite whey protein right now is either About Time or Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein powders. The About Time is less (zero) carbs, and has a few more different flavors. You can purchase it either at Amazon or GNC or even Ebay. (I buy most of my other items from Netrition though.) It’s roughly $24 per container.
@ChocolateAndMaxiPads Yep, you’re right as compared to eating chocolate off tampons or maxipads, low carb is not healthy. However in compared to any rational eating program, it is the healthiest thing I have ever eaten. I have excellent annual physicals, and my cardiac risk factors have disappeared.
Thank you so much for this recipe.. it sure makes a difference for me.. I love all your recipes..keep them coming please.. :o)
@EllaBella1099 No problem, I’ll be making another recipe tonight that should be another good breakfast recipe. Glad I could help. 🙂
Ahhh It was good to see you enjoying the shake!! 🙂 If you leave the berries frozen, it almost makes it ice cream like.. Love this recipe!
That’s a Ninja blending system that we got for Christmas from my in laws. I think they did infomercials on them, and they got a second system that they gifted to us.
When you spend the rest of your day low carb, you might want to start that way as well.
As for the reasons why to low carb, I would suggest blood sugar normalization, weight loss, health benefits like reducing one’s heart risk factors, and bountiful energy among other things.

i would like to add a tbs of unsweetened cocoa powder in there <3 i don't go crazy over too much sweetness but a hint of sweetness from the berries with the bitterness of the cocoa...yum! do you recommend it?
